Claiming that if A happens, it will inevitably lead to a series of extreme consequences ending in catastrophic B, without providing logical necessity for each step.
Example
"If you allow students to use phones during breaks today, tomorrow they'll use them in class, the day after they'll give up studying entirely, and eventually the entire education system will collapse."
